My monitor is hittin' the shits again, pretty much on it's last leg. Anyone know of any good quality inexpensive monitors out there ? I could browse sites for hours looking, but I'd rather have public opinions rather than some queer picture and description to go by.

You'll be suprised but many of the odl monitors are better than the new plug and play ones - I am using an old DELL triniton (sp)
It was a free 'throw away' and it works very well at hig refreash rates. I'm sure you can find some good ones for very cheap if you go to some kind of office or sommink.;)

a good quality brand is NEC... mine is NEC MultiSync 50, and it runs fine... had it for several years now...

I use a 17-inch Hewlett-Packard. HP is your god. Worship HP. Do it now. Now! Now!

NEC AccuSync 70 15" is what I use as well as a Gateway EV700 19" (dual monitors)... the NEC is much better than the EV700...

HP is only the god of printers. :D The god of monitors is a more open question; I think my choice would be Sony.
