I own one.

More to the point I own two, and have access to 4.

Do I know how to use em?

Nope.

would I ever?

Maybe.

Now with knowing that... How can they say we as Americans all have the right to arms? Seems kinda foolish to let someone like me run around with all these tools of death doesn't it?

Oh and yeah there are even people worse than me...

Think about it ;)

I think the fact that my dad (my dad!) owns about 10 guns is much scarier.

What, you never read the Constitution? Everyone should have a gun! Otherwise we'll never be able to get a decent militia together if France attacks us!

You know what I think this country really needs, though? Some sort of organized military force. Some people who are always supposed to be ready to defend us. Hey, maybe we could even, you know, train them and stuff.

Or have them guard the coasts, or something. This sounds like a good idea, I'll get right on it...

Yeah well, tough. America has a gun culture as a result of the Civil War. The best you can do for now is own yourself a gun, and if some maniac like DC decides to go postal, you can hopefully draw your gun in time and shoot down DC, thus saving lives. Guns won't go away, they just won't. The fact the 2nd amendment can be interpreted as allowing citizens the rights to own and bear arms(guns), makes gun ownership a difficult thing to get rid of in the US.

? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

I never said guns were bad. I said we should have a coast guard, which we (obviously) already do. It was a joke. Read the post above it. I don't think guns are bad. I do, however, think people stupid enough to leave them out and have their kids kill someone with them are bad. These people should be banned from the country.

No, but I sorta said it.
It was indeed a joke, but it did have a point. Sadly, Daarkseid's right. Just about any idiot can get a gun, and it'll probably stay that way. But on the plus side, this state of affairs may well bring us a Cronic-free world that much sooner. ;)

Okay, cool. Whatever. It's all good. Much respect to Daarkseid.
