what is Hybris.Gen ?

Every time I run my anti-virus scanner, it tells me that the file "Hybris.Gen" has a virus. I deleted it once (bad idea) to get rid of the virus... but that messed up my entire computer's operating system.
I'm not very good w/computers that don't work... so put everything into small terms. :female:

Hybris.Gen, is that the name of the virus or just a file?

I think hybris.gen is the name of the virus, or in this case, the worm. I remember something about this back when the "snow white virus", as it was more commonly called then, was floating around. I don't remember what it does now, but I think the damage is pretty minimal anyways. Don't worry about it too much unless things are giving you trouble. If so, I could read up on it again.
