I just now looked. There are about 1000 members with 0 post. I think that some of the admins should go and get rid of members with 0 or 1 post that are over a month old so we know how many members we do have. Alot of them were just worthless people.

this has been thought of multiple times, with little success.

Nice Idea! That will show the TRUE members list. Members with two or three posts should be deleted too, I think

Try this.

Go into: Members Advance search
Then type in:
and Number of Posts is less than = 2
Members per page = 1000 or 2000

Thats why I am posting it again. So that it does happen. A clean out would be good. That way we know how many members we have.

I did that search thing. At least there's 800 members with 1-0 posts mainly 0 :(

While this IS a good idea, the other staff members gave me a good reason that they didnt kill off the no-posters already. it makes out member count look bigger. we have over 5000 members, but only like 100 really post

plus, not too long ago, someone who signed up before i did realized he signed up for AGN and actually POSTED (and i joined in june of 2000)

See what I mean. In fact. I bet there are only about 100 - 300 active posters at these forums.

You should delete some members. That might explain the AGN slowdowns.

Some people probably join and forget about AGN from Amnesia.

it makes agn look bigger than it really is, and i think that if there was going to be a way to delete people, it would be by post count = 0, and not activated since the change to VB.

Yeah but I think it slows us down. If we delete some people who joined 2 yeras ago and we never heard from them again then it wouldn't make any difference.

I don't think it slows AGN down at all unless as many people are trying to access these non-posters info as there are non-posters.

I highly doubt the number of non-posters causes us much harm, and nearly all forums have like a 1:20(rough estimate) active poster to non-poster ratios.

If there comes a time when AGN's webspace starts to max out, some space saving moves, like deleting non-posters, may be needed.

If AGN is slow, then its probably because of traffic(active posters included), not that there are hoards of member info that isn't used.
