AAAGGGHHH!!! I have the worst luck with finding the games I want. I went to Biloxi with my g/f today, and I found a store called "Game Traders" that had lots of SNES games in it. I have been searching high and low for Final Fantasy II, and can't find it anywhere. I asked him about it, and he said he sold ALL 3 COPIES he had a few hours before I showed up. In hindsight, maybe he was lying to try and make me buy something, but it gets worse. I found Secret of Mana for $39.99. I wasn't expecting to pay that much for an SNES game (except FFII, I'd pay well for a copy), but I remembered renting it once and it was really fun. I was only halfway considering buying it. Then, I found Secret of Evermore for 39.99 too. I rented SoE once, but I didn't like it as much as SoM, so I didn't want to pay 40 bucks for the thing. Then, I noticed the store was having a "buy one get one free" sale. So, I decided that SoM and SoE for 40 dollars was a good deal. SoM was in a box, SoE was just the cartridge. I brought the box to the counter, and told the guy I wanted SoE as well. He went to go fetch the SoM cartridge (because they kept it outside the box to help protect from theft) but he found out someone had SOLD THE GAME AND FORGOT TO MOVE THE BOX!!! I was MAD!! There weren't any other games I felt were worth it in the store, so I didn't get any games, because I felt that $40 was too much for SoE because I didn't like it. I was SO mad. I was really excited about SoM. This is really sad, but I almost cried. It was so disappointing. This kind of crap always happens when I shop for SNES games.

If I find you a copy of Final Fantasy II, I'll buy it for you and send it to you and you can send me the money if you'd like. We have quite a SNES seletion here where I am, and FFII is always around.

Clearly and evidently a lie. He was probably some old Gunther trying to play you for a fool

Aw, that sucks AtmaWeapon. At least you have a used game store by you though. The 2 Funcoland locations nearby me have closed up. I drove over to where Funcoland was one day after school to see if they had Earthbound and found the store had closed up a few weeks earlier.
I bought Secret of Mana for $39.99 a few years at Funcoland because I had sold my original copy. I played the game up to the Volcano but quit because it was the same game I had played a Million times. I used to rent it all the time, and it was the game that got me into rpgs and Square soft. After playing it I tried FF2 and FF Mystic Quest, and luckily got used to the random battle stuff to enjoy FF2.
You could call Game Traders from time to time to see if SoM is in.
I think this might be their website

Most of the great Squaresoft RPGs for SNES are very very expensive.

Like you said, you saw SoM for $40? At my local store they have FF2, FF3, and Chrono Trigger, and they're all like about $60 or more! That's almost as much as they cost when they first came out!

You can always get the re-releases of FF4-6 and Chrono Trigger on PSX. Anyways, good luck with your hunt!

Actually, Biloxi is like 120 miles from my home. But I forgive you because you had no way of knowing that LOL. The only store close is an EB in Hattiesburg, still 40 miles away.

To the peeps who are making FFII offers: PM me and we might could make a deal.

We have a used game store around here in Erie. I think it's called Jay Dee's. I got LTTP for about $25. What a deal!

I still have the FF2 cartridge that I stole from a rental shop when I was little. I don't know for how much I'd be willing to part with it though. I wonder how much that cartridge goes for these days anyway.

Don't sell it Glenn unless you no longer care for it. I made that mistake with my SNES rpgs.
