I know ME is "Millenium Edition"; and I heard somewhere that XP is "eXtreme Performance"... but can someone confirm this and tell me what the others mean?

NT= New Technology
CE= Compact Edition
ME= Millenium Edition
XP= eXperience (or at least thats what I heard)

They're working on combining them to come out with CEMENT XP.

XP is also used by AMD for there Athlon Xp processors and in that case XP does stand for "eXtreme Performance"

the next version of windows is gonna be called Windows GAY and its gonna be all pastels
XP in windows is eXperience.
AMD use it just to keep the sales of great processors up.
