    New ZeldaClassic.com Site

I have been working on a redesign for the Zelda Classic site.
Something more modern that is clean and responsive.

So far almost all of the content from the current site is over and functioning on the development site.

What things do you wish we had on the site that would be beneficial? What could go away, or be cleaned up?

Anyone interested in helping with some little oddball here and theres such as FAQ items and such please PM me.

A huge thanks to @DarkDragon for putting up with me the past couple weeks and his help thus far. I greatly appreciate it.

I like the look of the layout thus far. As for additions and/or removals I can't think of much at the moment.

Is there a link to the temporary site?

The image seems a titch spartan to me, and testing the menus on mobile platforms might be prudent.

I think it has too much white space at present, but I expect that will change. I would also suggest placing a link to the old interface, retaining it as an alternative, so that people may still use it, if they desire; then monitor how much traffic does that.

Linking to popular Let's Play videos on it somewhere would be a very good idea, as ZC gains more users through those than anything else.

    Script Headers: RPG.zh ( v. a0.97.1 ) ( RPG.zh Thread ) | stdArguments.zh (v.6.9.9/1) | | Timers.zh (v.1.5)
    ZScript | ZC Dev | ZC 2.53 | Alucard's: stdCombos.zh (v1.1) | stdWeapons.zh | particles.z
All of the code that I create and publish here is free for use, modification and distribution under the GPL v2.0.

Mobile and tablet are apart of my testing process.
I'm not ready to take the site public, though I have seen users hit the site that haven't been given the link.
There is white, and I've gotten a lot of push back here at AG in the past for white, thus why we always have those dark themes.
The space on pages gets taken up decently by content currently and that will expand.

Im tying up loose ends in the resource database system and then I'll migrate the old data and most likely go live barring any unforeseen issues.

I thought about your comment regarding white space, and threw the current background onto the new site and it's growing on me.

Also, once the new launches, the old will not co-exist.

    @War Lord
    Q & A time
    I went through the site.
It's got a nice modern feel that I like. Only thing I wish was done is a list of contributors as well as Memorial for Dark Nation who is no longer with us.

Much needed, what with how The Satellite is turning Pure into an SJW dipshit-fest and disparaging ANYONE who dares to say that being a gamer is NOT misogyny.

Maybe make this pro-gamer, and have rules allowing forumers to defend gamer kind and such,, the anti-gamer censorship on pure is getting ridiculous.

Hi War Lord, are you planning on carrying over all of the quests from the old website, along with their ratings and comments? I haven't been on the Zelda Classic website in a long time, but one of the best parts about it was being able to go through the QDB and pick out things to play. As of right now, it looks like a lot of the quests are still missing. I'm hoping the rest get carried over, since I don't know where else one could find a lot of those.

Also, another thing I liked about the old website was the ability to download older versions of ZC. I always appreciate it when it's possible to download older versions of software, because then things are much easier if there are regressions, or levels don't work in newer versions for some reason, or the newer versions don't work on my ancient computer.

I will be migrating the entire old database over through the week. The comments will not come along as they got beat up pretty bad due to some php vulnerabilities in the old site.

The ratings, I have pulled the data for, just not decided how best to go about that.
Older versions of Zc will be on the download page and is on my list. I will work on that later today.
